Get involved in the PCPS community by volunteering to serve on the PCPS Executive Committee or the Technical Issues Committee!
PCPS Executive Committee
This volunteer committee sets the direction for PCPS and serves as a conduit between PCPS staff and current practitioners on professional and technical issues. You can volunteer to serve on the PCPS Executive Committee by registering in Volunteer Central. Volunteers serve a three-year term and are asked to participate in three live day and a half meetings per year. Benefits of being a PCPS Executive Committee member include:
- Contributing to the success of the profession by providing insights and feedback that shape the resources AICPA develops
- Expanding your network by developing relationships with other committed volunteers
- Connecting with the AICPA and deepening your understanding of trends impacting firms
Contact any member of the current committee or Lisa Simpson, the committee’s staff liaison, to voice your PCPS related suggestions or questions.
Technical Issues Committee (TIC)
TIC monitors technical developments that could significantly affect private companies and the firms that serve them. When standards are written, TIC submits informed comments and recommendations in support of firms. TIC is currently looking for volunteers with a strong GAAP knowledge and background. If you would like to volunteer to serve on TIC, you can register in Volunteer Central.
If you have questions, local firm advocacy issues or suggestions for TIC, you can contact Julie Killian our TIC Chair.
