Summer Fun Week Rebroadcasts
Our popular annual "summer fun" week of continuing professional education (CPE) Web event rebroadcasts will be held from June 22 – 28, 2022. This is a great opportunity to get high quality CPE from previous GAQC events that you or your staff missed. Note that the annual required GAQC Webcast will be rebroadcasted on Friday, June 24, 2022. Our intention is for member firms and State Audit Organizations to watch the required Webcast during the planning timeframe, so please make every effort to view it if you missed the original.
This year we have brought back several topics that continue to be relevant and that may be very useful for you or your staff that may be performing audits for entities that have received COVID-19 funding. Also note we are rebroadcasting our Web events for auditors that may be new to audits performed in accordance with Government Auditing Standards (also referred to as the Yellow Book).
Use the table below to access registration information. If you are not interested in getting CPE, you can always access the no-CPE archives of GAQC Web events, including for the annual required Webcast.

GAQC Executive Committee and Staff Changes
On behalf of the entire GAQC membership we would like to thank our outgoing GAQC Executive Committee members for their outstanding service on the committee as follows: Brian Archambault (Crowe); Amanda Blomberg (Baker Tilly); Jodi Daugherty (Eide Bailly); Rachel Flanders (CLA); Amanda Nelson (KPMG LLP), Troy Rector (Clark Nuber PS); and Tom Sneeringer (RSM). The last several years have been quite challenging due to the pandemic so we especially appreciate all of the time and hard work put in.
We also would like to welcome our new Executive Committee members: Monique Booker (SB & Company LLP); Tammy Erickson (Moss Adams LLP); Blaine Jasper (Baker Tilly); Lee Klump (BDO); Jeffrey Markert (KPMG LLP); Lindsey Oakley (FORVIS); and Hope Pendergrass (Mauldin & Jenkins).
Continuing on the Executive Committee are Chair, Kim McCormick (Grant Thornton LLP), and members Stephen Blann (Rehmann); Christina Dutch (PWC); Lindsey Kennimer (Snow Garrett Williams); Jeremy Robinson (EY); Reem Samra (Deloitte); George Strudgeon (State of Virginia, Auditor of Public Accounts); and Amanda Ward (Plante Moran). We offer our ongoing thanks to these members for contributing a significant amount of volunteer time and effort to help GAQC members, oversee the activities of the Center, and work towards our end goal of improving governmental audit quality.
Finally, Rafael Roman, who was with the GAQC team for almost 17 years recently left the AICPA. He was with us from the Center's inception and was an integral part of our activities over the years. We greatly appreciate his dedication to our membership and his contributions to governmental audit quality. Certainly, we wish him the best in the future. The good news is that we have hired a new staffer, Yulia Murzaeva, who was previously with a member firm and thus is very familiar with the GAQC's mission and work. She joins the rest of our team which includes Teresa Bordeaux, Mary Foelster, Sheryl Messer, and Cynthia Dillon, our administrative assistant. The best way to reach the GAQC team with Center-related inquiries is to send an e-mail to gaqc@aicpa.org.
AICPA Volunteer Opportunities
If you are a partner in a firm or State Audit Organization leader and are interested in contributing to the profession and networking with your peers, consider applying to serve on the GAQC Executive Committee, the State and Local Government Expert Panel or various other AICPA Industry Expert Panels (e.g., the Not-for-Profit Entities Expert Panel or the Health Care Entities Expert Panel). Applications are now being accepted for the next volunteer period (May 2023 - May 2024) and can be submitted until October 1, 2022. Access volunteer applications. Be sure to upload a detailed resume along with your application. Questions about the process? Send an e-mail to AICPA Volunteer Services.* * * * *
