Designated Audit Quality Partner Audit Planning – April 20 (rebroadcast)

This webinar is for firm designated audit quality partners to assist them in preparing their firms for the 2020 EBP audit season. Discussion topics for this webinar include: DOL update; key accounting and auditing issues for EBP audits this year and on the near horizon; EBP best practices and audit quality initiatives; new center tools and resources; and ask the experts. All designated audit quality partners of EBPAQC member firms are required to participate in the annual Designated Partner Audit Planning webinar. If you have participated in the January 24 live event or previous rebroadcast you do not need to participate in this rebroadcast.

401(k) Basics series – April 23, 30, May 14, 21

This series is an excellent program for staff or in-charge auditors who are new to ERISA audits, as it provides an understanding of 401(k) plans and how they work, information about EBP audit planning and risk assessment, and practical information about unique plan audit areas. Panelists for this webinar series are various current and former members of the EBPAQC Executive Committee.

Managers and Supervisors Audit Planning - April 24

This webinar is specifically designed for individuals who manage or supervise ERISA EBP audits to assist them in planning for their 2020 engagements. It will include information about manager's and supervisor's roles and responsibilities in EBP audits; the EBPAQC resources and how to effectively use them; the DOL's biggest concerns and understand its current initiatives; and current accounting and auditing topics for consideration in 2020; It will also include a roundtable discussion on common audit deficiencies and potential issues and firm best practices in the current environment.

Using the Center's SOC 1 Documentation Tool - May 19 (rebroadcast)

This webinar will discuss how to maximize your firm's use of a SOC 1 report in your EBP audits by providing tips for effectively reviewing and understanding the SOC 1 report and other firm best practices.

Health and Welfare Plan Audits- 2-part webinar series - May 26 and June 2 (rebroadcast)

Participants will learn best practices for auditing health and welfare benefit plans. Part 1 will cover the various types of health and welfare plans and plan arrangements, plan operations, and the current industry and regulatory environment. Part 2 will discuss audit planning and risk assessment considerations; specific accounting, auditing and reporting considerations, and practice tips.
