AICPA Foundation Scholarship for Future CPAs

Scholarship Overview: The AICPA Foundation Scholarship for Future CPAs is part of the AICPA Legacy Scholars program. This award provides financial assistance to outstanding students majoring in accounting or an accounting-related field. All applications must be completed and submitted by the deadline to be considered. Students interested in being considered for more than one AICPA Legacy Scholarship awards need only complete one application—applicants will be evaluated for all awards for which they are eligible in the program.

Scholarship aid may be used only for the payment of expenses that directly relate to obtaining an accounting education (e.g.; tuition, fees and/or books and materials). Awards are non-renewable and past recipients may not re-apply. Payments are sent directly to the student's financial aid office on behalf of the student.

Background: This award was established to support undergraduate or graduate students interested in pursuing the CPA license after graduation.

Award Amount: $5,000 per recipient for one year. Payments are sent directly to the school for credit to the account of the student. This scholarship is a non-renewable award. 

Number of Recipients: Up to 25 students per academic year

Selection Process: A scholarship selection task force will review all qualified applications and select up to 25 scholarship recipients based on academic achievement, leadership and future career interests in accounting. All applicants will be notified by email of the final selection by August 1.
