Under the automatic disciplinary provisions of the Institute’s bylaws, Ms. Brown’s AICPA membership was terminated effective October 26, 2023. This action is based on the disciplinary action taken by the Florida Board of Accountancy, Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Whereby, Ms. Brown voluntarily relinquished her CPA license for permanent revocation in connection with allegations that she violated Section 473.323(10)(g), F.S. Committing an act of fraud or deceit, or of negligence, incompetency, or misconduct, in the practice of public accounting; and Section 473.323(1)(H), F.S., through a violation of rule 61H1-26-005, F.A.C.
