tax reform gears

In a new video posted on the AICPA’s Tax Reform Resource Center, AICPA’s tax vice president, Edward Karl, CPA, CGMA, describes the current state of tax reform and the outlook for enactment of a bill.

Included in his discussion are the effects of the effort to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, the necessity of passing a bill to fund the U.S. government for the rest of Fiscal Year 2017, support and opposition to the border adjustability tax, the White House’s role in the tax reform debate and what part will Democrats play.

His conclusion: “I’d suggest we all buckle up for a long and bumpy ride.”
